Eric Lefkofsky: Redefining Philanthropy

Eric Lefkofsky is the brains behind Tempus; he is the current CEO and founding member of the firm. Apart from Tempus, Eric Lefoksky holds several top-level ownership with some top firms across the world. He is the founding member of Lightbank which focuses on fund investments in the disruptive technology businesses.

He also co-founded Groupon which is a worldwide e-commerce marketplace. He also calls the shots at Mediaocean which is a leading provider of the integrated media procurement technology. He also is associated with Echo Global Logistics, Uptake, and InnerWorkings.

Tempus is a leading provider when it comes to technology-enabled precision in offering medical solutions. The firm is built from one of the largest libraries of molecular and clinical data. It hosts an operating system for accessing information for patients, researchers, and physicians. The firm enables medical practitioners to offer personalized cancer care to the patients.

The better part of Eric Lefkofsky’s childhood was spent outside Detroit. He also enrolled at the University of Michigan. He graduated from the university with a degree in law. Currently, he is among the adjunct professors at the University of Chicago. He is also a celebrated author after the launch of his first book dubbed Acceleration Disruption while paints a clear picture of innovation.

Eric Lefkofsky has always had his heart out for the community. This led him in forming the charitable trust called the Lefkofsky Foundation back in 2006. Through the foundation, many children were aided. The foundation currently has over 50 organizations which have gained from the fund.

Later on, he joined the Giving Pledge charity together with his wife. He is also a trustee at the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, World Business Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry. He was also among the committee members who brought the 2016 Chicago Summer Olympics. Click here
