Paul Herdsman Is Bringing In New Partnerships At NICE Global

For several years NICE Global has been one of the builders and key investors in the business process outsourcing sector of Jamaica, a job sector that’s been growing in demand in recent years. The former Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Hon. Anthony Hylton was one of the first public officials there to commend the company and founder Paul Herdsman on creating many new jobs for the nation’s labor force.

Just recently Herdsman formed a partnership with The HEART Trust, a company that provides training for new BPO workers and aspiring support specialists. The HEART College of Innovation and Technology has already helped one young man who was once unable to embark on a professional career, and then helped him become a Sales Team Leader at NICE Global. Paul Herdsman is delighted at the direction this new partnership is going.

Paul Herdsman founded NICE Global in Montego Bay and has built it from a simple call center into a multipurpose BPO service company. The company acronym stands for Nearshore Inbound Call Experts because all issues are handled by clients making inbound calls or service requests to them, many of which include technical operational issues. But NICE Global does handle sales, marketing and even voicemail services for various clients.

In the article, “Lessons from Entrepreneur Paul Herdsman”, Herdsman discussed these effective business lessons which he likes to share to aspiring and established business owners alike, that they can use to be successful like himself.

Paul Herdsman is originally from Jamaica, but he had never thought about starting a call center and support company there until later in his career. He felt that too many US corporations were outsourcing customer support centers to countries that were far away and cost a lot to travel to, and that they could save a lot on costs and eliminate language barrier issues by looking at closer countries like Jamaica.

Herdsman was able to hire a great team of Jamaican executives who got NICE Global off the ground, and ever since then it’s become a reputable place to work with many learning opportunities.
