DAMAC is a public company, based in Dubai. It was founded in 1976 by Hussain Habib Sajwani and employs over two thousand people. The Engineering, construction and Architecture Company deals with the development of residential, leisure, and commercial properties in the Middle East. DAMAC has one of the best track records and to date has delivered sixteen thousand and above homes with a portfolio of over 44, 000 units. Some of the projects include the Tiger Woods, luxury villas styled by Bugatti, and the Italian fashion-houses Versace and Fendi.
Early in the 1990s, Sajwani undertook the building of hotels to fill the gap and accommodate the swelling inrush of people coming to Dubai for business and trade. Additionally, he has expertise in the food industry, which has profoundly added to his ability to foster necessary attachments on international scales. During the operation Desert Storm, for example, Hussain Sajwani’s company was responsible for providing food services to the United States of America’s army.
Despite such huge contracts, the food business proved too small for Mr. Hussain Sajwani, with low borders. It would make millions, so he jumped on the next opportunity of making billions. Furthermore, during the same period, Dubai was experiencing the six years lift-off stage, when real estate was booming.
Being a real estate developer, Mr. Sajwani hopes to create and expand business relations with Donald Trump. Even though the President cannot make business deals while in office, but the DAMAC Owner is confident his association with Trumps goes beyond, and bets on the three children, Ivanka, Eric and Donald junior, ability to efficiently maintain the business relations maintaining even a closer connection to Hussain Sajwani family. The two are renown real estate billionaires have collaborated in the past business deals and other social events like the New Year’s Eve celebration.
DAMAC properties under the leadership of Hussain have always supported the philanthropic efforts of improving the lives of others, particularly during the month of Ramadhan. DAMAC company collaborated with a humanitarian organization, the Emirates Red Crescent to raise a hundred and twenty AED millions towards the clothing campaign that aimed at clothing needy children from all over the world.
